Some might say plastic but this plastic has come a far way. Thanks to modern science and many years of research and development uPVC has become the most sophisticated substances available for windows, doors, shutters, automobile body parts, building material, more, more and more.

But there is a big problem on the market place – can somebody tell me the difference by looking, touching and tasting freshly produced uPVC - NO. Only chemical test and time can tell the difference. In most countries where uPVC has become the market leader strict laws have been implemented by government to protect the consumer from bad quality uPVC. This has not yet been introduced in South Africa and we need to rely on local independent and international certification to ensure high quality uPVC.

It has come to my attention that the only quality uPVC window, door, shutter, cladding and fence products in South Africa are imported and exceed the quality of local production by a large margin

The quality does not end with the uPVC but also with its components, how it’s molded together, has it got a stability core, etc. You will find more information below differentiating cheap from expensive uPVC products.
